This will not work with a PS3 due to the fact that it already has a wireless device built into the console, just like an Xbox 360

A suggestion I can give you is that you may need a faster router. Also the speed and strength o your wireless device depends on how close it is to your router, and also take into consideration how many walls/floors may be between your console and router.
