Nur-ud-din Mohammad Salim, known by his imperial name Jahangir (30 August, 1569-28 October, 1627), was the fourth Mughal Emperor who ruled from 1605 until his death in 1627.
Jahangir was fascinated with art, science and, architecture. From a young age, he showed a leaning towards painting and had an atelier of his own.

The Tomb of Jahangir is a mausoleum built by Jahangir. The mausoleum is located in Shahdara Bagh in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
Jahangir died at Rajauri in 1627 upon returning to Lahore. He was buried at Shahdara, on the banks of the river Ravi, in the large, walled garden of Empress Nur Jahan, three miles northwest of the town. His tomb was built and completed by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1637 AD, at the cost of ten lakhs Rupees.
This was the first stamps issued for the Mughal Emperors loved, fascinated with art, science and, architecture
