Tomatillos are the salsa star, great for chili, salsa, soups, and your favorite Latin American dishes. If you can grow tomatoes, you can certainly grow tomatillos! The Toma is a large fruited variety that has been adapted to grow successfully in a wide spread of climates. Requires similar growing conditions as tomatoes. However, they will tolerate more heat and drought. This indeterminate plant will grow 3-6 ft quickly and produce well in both southern and northern climates. Fruits grow inside a paper shell and will keep producing until the first fall frost.
