Is there a tang stamp on either blade marked made in USA. I have seen knives with the name American Cutlery. I will say that it a nice looking knife.

No stamp, but some U.S. Companies, back in the day, stopped stamping tangs to save $$. I really think that A.C. Was affiliated with WhiteTail Cutlery somehow, before they outsourced, but don't quote me on that. The box has a striking resemblance to the WhiteTail boxes. I do know that this knife was made before Frost got their hands in the WhiteTail mix. This knife came from an estate and had been stored for years. Hope that helps.

I also wanted to add, the box had that great ole musty smell when I first got it. You know, that "I wonder how old this is" odor. Doesn't mean anything, but I thought I'd share. And Hey, if you find one like this online, please email me the link directly. Please don't put in this comment thread. I'd love to check it out. I really hope you have better luck than I did.
Thanks so much!

Sweet Blade ! This is a tough company to track down ! They seem to move around a lot. I have a Bolo Knife made by the American Cutlery Co. dated 1917.
There seems to be very little available about the Mississippi Co.. I'll keep looking and let you know if I find something. I'd be interested if you find anything also !
Later Dude....

You're right about brother! Now the paperwork says the same location as the Whitetail paperwork. Tupelo, Mississippi.
Established 1968. That's why I have a sneaky suspicion that they're related. Oh, And the same Logo pic.
There's a big ole story of how James Glover? (WhiteTail Founder)?partnered with I believe a Pakistani gentleman with disastrous results. Lawsuit, all kinds of stuff. And then came "Jim Frost" you know the story from there. I'll keep on keepin on. Good luck StingMan.

Wow Super, I thought you knew about this one. Well, welcome to the party!! Get a load of the way I've had to defend myself.

Well I thank you so much for that. Yea in most cases, I don't mind the questions. I don't even mind the ridiculously low GIN offers, but when someone gets offended when I reject a GIN offer and then blatantly goes against my wishes and posts a comment in an attempt to detour bidders, I take it a little personally. I DO know they really wanted this knife. I just wish they would've been a little better sport about it. That's all.
Oh and you're right about loyal fans. That user's plan actually backfired. They're blocked and the bids are over and above what they offered me. LOL Good stuff!!!
