Hello everyone! Thank you for taking a peek at my auctions :) I am still raising points to help local rescues. I have one more week! With the points received I will be purchasing items to enter into a Chinese auction to benefit Lynn's Animal Rescue. You can check them out on Facebook!

Let's get started!
This is an auction for a peculiar pin. It has a loop to also be a pendant. It appears to be silver (very odd color, and the way it tarnishes reminds me of silver) The clasp is super strand and unlike anything I have seen before. I would really love to know more about it so please comment below :)

I only:
Ship auctions with free shipping
Ship in bubble wrap mailers
Offer Excellent Customer Service :)

I will not:
GIN (sorry, most of the items I find are only found once. I have no idea how much most of them are worth)
Ship outside of the US (Sorry :( )

So basically customers will come to our store and purchase tickets for money (How we are doing it is an arms length for $5 and a leg length for $7) they can then write their phone numbers on each ticket and in front of every raffle item will be a box/cup/bowl. That way they can enter their tickets for the items they want versus one big item with everyone competing. I hope that all makes sense. I know there is a whole wikipedia page on it too :)

I'm pretty sure it's filigree with a c clasp usually filigree isn't stamped but is silver hope that helps :)

Do you know how old? Many times old silver was never stamped. One way you can be sure of its material is to take it to a jeweler or coin shop that buys precious metals. They will test for free and give you a price of the silver without a commitment for you to sell. If it is silver, it could also possible lead to this being an older piece since it's not stamped.

I buy a lot of my items from a local thrift store. Most of the items they receive are donations or leftovers from estates. I have found a lot of items that were from the 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's all the way up to current reproductions. I am nearing 300 auctions listed and have collected jewelry as a hobby for about a year or so. I have gotten pretty good at identifying vintage jewelry (at least I think so ^^) I would take this to a jeweler to get it tested but unfortunately this can get pretty hard for me. I have a phobia of driving, rendering me car-less and license-less. I work night shifts at my job and work 60+ hours a week :( I am only going by the clasp style and design of the pin in judging that it is vintage. My great grandmother left a lot of jewelry to me that was precious in metals and stamp less so that's where I am basing my info from. I will try my best to take it to a jeweler but in my current situation I can't promise...So far I haven't been wrong in identifying anything if that makes you feel more comfortable and have to this day, have never had an issue with dissatisfied customers. ^^;

From your pics, it looks to be silver (for the most part) as well as filigree in design... I would also guess that it could have been part of a broach, pretty sure a vintage one, that maybe had a pearl or stone that was set in more of the same metal that dangled from the 'hoop'... I have seen many broaches and especially old ones that have had some sort of 'extra' that dangled... Just my guess anyway. Very pretty! Best of luck to you...fanned as well!

looks like pewter which is silver and lead if so then it must be old in my opinion because pewter is rarely if ever used anymore. The c clasp on the end may mean it is missing a piece

if silver it's a very low grade. usually these are from india and have most of the time some kind of marking. at one time something hung from loop on the bottom and possibly that had a marking. older brooches have this c-closure
