Questions & Comments
You need it authenticated if not it's pretty much worthless.
Maury was autographing this same Topps card and mailing them out from his website for $30 sometime back. I do not believe that he included a certificate of authiticity, except maybe a charge card payment receipt. Why would somebody pay to have it authenticated by one of those services that have been tested by reputable dealers who have been turned down only to have proof to back up that the autographs that the items they were sent were genuine including references by player family members. They have missed time and again, because people are out to disprove them as legitimate. They have also authenticated tons of autographs that were known to be forgeries, because card shop owners and every Tom, Dick and Harry has wanted to disprove them. They have a grade of "D" with the better business bureau. Back in the days of Ruth and Dimaggio they did not have people trying to make money as authenticators. Plenty stars autograph sell for big money on Ebay without certificates of authenticity.
