The listing, Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic 35mm Film Camera with 50mm Lens has ended.

This listing is for a used Honeywell Pentax SP1000 camera body with a Pentax Super Takumar 50mm f2 prime lens.

Shutter fires at all speeds
Meter untested, because I don't have the proper battery.
Film compartment and viewfinder are clean
Lens smoothly. Glass is clean with no fungus or haze, but does have a long scratch across the surface. It still is capable of taking great photographs though. Aperture is dry and snappy. Includes front cap.

This is a classic 35mm SLR - film photography instructors have used them for black and white photography classes for decades and still recommend them. They are durable workhorses, and a joy to shoot with.

Older cameras like this from the 60s and 70s are great. They are workhorses and mostly made of metal. I just won an older SLR camera from the 70s and I am a fan of a certain brand. These older cameras are fun to use , all manual. I have a auto focus camera with manual functions also but I get lazy with that one. The thing I enjoy the most about the older cameras. Built like a tank , made of metal , fun to use and learn really how to use a camera. F&W

I learned how to take photos with a Spotmatic with a 50mm lens - I even dunked one in the river once, and after a cleaning shot another 50 rolls of film with it. It just 'feels' right. Thanks, Fanned back.
