these are old but not made in 1847.. rogers brothers always marks stuff that.. these look like about 70s

Wow, horserescuer! You are right, and many people get that detail completely wrong! 1847 is the line of silverplate by Rogers, it has nothing to do with the production year. I am excited to 'meet' someone who knows this! Yes, the Flair pattern was popular in the 70's, however it could possibly be late 60's to early 80's. You are very knowledgeable!
This is a nice set, in the original box. That it pretty rare for the cardboard boxes, they got tossed. Someone got this as a gift, put it away, and never used it! I love things in their original boxes.

I left out the obvious...1847 by Rogers is a division of the International Silver Co. You can always count on nice, quality pieces from this line.
