These would look great on my flies when I get calls from random people wanting me to make a batch( 1/2 dozen [6] to full dozen [12] flies)... I'm gonna need more hooks though yet start posting on craigslist and start making money again.

The red mara feathers are easily removable but most of the laced hen are glued pretty good - to each other. The laced hen feathers on the top edge should be decent enough to work with though. :)

I always cut off the stem part so the feather fits on the hooks.

Silly question but what are flies? I'm curious! I use these in art projects, I just love peacock feathers, this very pretty (: I fanned you and am watching :) saving up my points to bid (:

They're for fly fishing. Lots of lures/flies are made with feathers to simulate small insects to help catch whatever fish you're going for. Hope that helps! I'm not an expert on any kind of fishing though. :) And thanks for being a fan and watching! Good luck in the auction!
