It wont tarnish if it is Tibetan (nickel silver either). Nickel silver contains no silver.
If not acid tested should not be considered sterling silver.

no but ive had it a while now and it is tarnished a little so thats how you normally can tell its sterling

It will still tarnish if it's silver plated, too.

If it is not stamped, then it is probably plated, sorry to say... unless you purchased it from an Indian reservation.

take it to a pawn shop they will tell you if it's silver or not, usually for free

well its up for auction now im sure I wont get near as much as what its worth off here but I like to put nice things up sooo whomever wins that may be a good idea!!
