The listing, Giant White Bird of Paradise - 150+ Seeds has ended.
Up for bids are ALL (I stopped counting at 150) my Giant White Bird of Paradise seeds. Picking the seeds out of the pod is difficult and time consuming. There are at least 100+ more left but I won't waste my time.
These are from my OWN plant and I harvested them myself. =). This plant attracts all sorts of birds... For me being in California, it attracts hummingbirds more than anything! Definitely why so many seeds!
All of the pics above are taken by me of my own tree EXCEPT for the main pic. That is a stock photo of how the "birds" look. I couldn't get a good pic of mine and as you can see, my plant is reaching well past the second story.
Do not be alarmed. Grown indoors you can make it a smaller plant and with pruning it does not have to get as big as mine has.
Strelitzia nicolai, commonly known as the Giant White Bird of Paradise or Wild Banana are banana-like plants with erect woody stems.
The 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) long leaves are grey-green and arranged like a fan at the top of the stems. The inflorescence is composed of a dark blue bract, white sepals and a bluish-purple "tongue". The entire flower can be as much as 18 cm (7.1 in) high by 45 cm (18 in) long and is typically held just above the point where the leaf fan emerges from the stem. Flowers are followed by triangular seed capsules.
I will send instructions on how to germinate/plant the seeds.

You are bidding on ALL my seeds. (I have seen people online selling these seeds for $3 for only a mere 7 seeds. Apparently rare as they are not native to this country)
Happy Bidding.
(There won't be more until next season, I have given all the other pods away to those who have patience to extract the seeds)
