In today's world, the truth is not always so easy to see. Especially for John Barrett. a handsome anchorman for "NewsSix at Five," Seattle's most-watched newscast, John has a serious problem. Suddenly his comfortable, successful world-the world he has lived in for many years-looks dank and cold.

It all begins at the news station. John catches his producer skewing a story to fit her own prejudices, then lying to cover her tracks. John knows this is not unusual in the biased world of television news, but somehow, he feels she's hiding something much bigger this time.
