The listing, GREEN PRODUCT! Washable, Reuseable Cloth Menstrual Pad has ended.

I have up for auction one (1) washable, reusable, cloth menstrual pad. It is 5 layers thick. The core of the pad is made with two layers of 100% natural, thirsty, cotton, plus one layer of fleece. The fleece is leak resistant and is sew in under the two layers of cotton.This pad has two layers of flannel, the top and bottom layers.
You can choose your own print, either the black daisies or the green bubbles.

With cotton and fleece the pads allow air flow, which is much more healthier, and comfortable for you.

This flannel is very soft and has been prewashed in hot water for shrinkage.These pads are so soft that they will conform to your body. They have wings to wrap around panties with snaps put on by a snap press (snap press snaps not shown in picture). These pads are great for a medium to light flow. Also good for a heavy flow with frequent changing of pads.

Yes! The winner will get to choose their own print out of my fabric stash. I will show pictures to the winner of all the different prints to choose from I have quite a few! Picking your own print is the most fun part!

I did create this pattern of pad as I did all my pads. Their are other out their who sell cloth pads, but they are different from mine.

There is really know special way to wash cloth pads. Many women throw their pads in with a load of towels or they run a small load just for their pads.
It is best for the pad that it is not washed in any harsh detergents, bleach, or fabric softeners. If you need to soften the pad use white vinegar in the rinse cycle.
I like to wash my pads in oxy-wash or something similiar (I use the generic oxy wash from the dollar tree).
Soaking the pads really help. I soak mine in a mini trash can or plastic container under the sink in cold water until ready to wash.

I forgot to mention that I send out washing instructions with all of my pads. The winner of this auction will get washing instructions along with their pad.

These are definately worth it! Once you try cloth and find a cloth pad design you like and is comfortable, you will never go back to disposables. These are also a great money saver and great for our earth.
This pad I have listed is 8 inches in length, but I do make these in all lengths depending on your preference. If the winner of this auction has a length preference, I can make it the length that they want, it might delay the shipping for a few days though.

I never thought about the "old days" either, is this what they used? It would save a lot of trouble and our husbands would be thankful too because they won't have to make "pad runs" to the store anymore LOL

In the old days I am not sure if they had 'nice' sewn cloth pads like the one listed, but I do know they used things like old rags and such. After they used them they washed them out and used them again.
With cloth pads, you can forget about pad runs! LOL
