Do you think it would survive in SC, zone 7b? Maybe if I brought it in for the winter? Does it need direct sun or will partial shade work? Thanks! :)

Hi thanks for your interest!!

The hardiness zones are from 9b-11
and this is what I found (to be more exact) :
Hardiness:
USDA Zone 9b: to -3.8 °C (25 °F)
USDA Zone 10a: to -1.1 °C (30 °F)
USDA Zone 10b: to 1.7 °C (35 °F)
USDA Zone 11: above 4.5 °C (40 °F)

But it definitely would work having it potted (especially at first until it gets established) and you can have the choice of moving it around. And then also taking it outside to get rain and sun when its nice out. If transplanting later after its bigger you may want to consider this does not do well in frost or under 25 degrees. And for your zone yes I would bring it in for the winter. These Palms are more tolerant of cold weather than the other Palm trees and plants.

Also, Plant needs
Light Shade -
Partial to Full Shade

I hope this helps!!!!
Thanks for looking :)

Thank you that helps very much! :) I miss the palm trees and tropical plants from when I lived in south Florida, but can't figure out how to surround myself with them, without moving! Lol! :))
