The listing, Dynex External Floppy Drive for 1.44MB/3.5" Disks has ended.

While it is compatible with Windows Vista, it worked with my new Windows 8 Operating System as well. It reads 3.5"/1.44MB disks.

do you just plug it in and it works or is there a cd that will come with it

When I used it I just used the USB port and it was plug and play. No disk came with it when I originally purchased it.
