The listing, Large Garnet / loose gemstone / display garnet has ended.

Polished double jointed garnet from the Little Pine Garnet Mine in NC.
When I dug this up is was covered in schist so I thought I'd try to polished the natural facets down to the gemmy part of the garnet. It's roughly done with a pretty cool looking finish.
This piece might slab and make some pretty remarkable cabochons.
Nice to display. Pyrope garnet.

1-3/4 inch long
