Directions: Place the BebeSounds Prenatal Heart Listener on your belly, and switch dial on in order to safely listen to the wonderful sounds of your baby, months before birth, in the privacy of your own home.

This monitor amplifies the sounds of your baby, so you can hear your baby's heartbeat and, depending on where the placenta is- sounds of blood rushing in and out of the placenta. (Thats what I could first hear with my baby!) You should be able to hear your baby's heartbeat early in your third trimester. But I believe I started hearing it from about 20 weeks on.

This device works similarly to a microphone so it is safer than a doppler which uses ultrasound to pick up on baby's heartbeat. Because its a microphone, it also sometimes picks up other noises. I found the best way to cut down on that was to place a pillow firmly over the monitor as I listened.
