This is a fun little holder that you can use for a lot of things. It's sized just right for eyeglass cases, TV/stereo remote controls, cell phones (one does not come with this auction, it's just used to give you an idea of the size), and anything in the kitchen you don't want laying around on the counter getting wet. Or a child's dresser, or your nightstand, or your desk at work.....the possibilities are endless!! This does come with the eyeglass case. It's got a velvet-like lining, and the outside is smooth and very leather-like. It's hard for me to tell if it's real leather or not. It closes with Velcro.
