It's has Google Play (the App Store for androids) and I used to have a Hello Kitty game on their. They have apps you can buy and that free, you just have to look. And yes, it can connect to wifi. You can't make calls or text on wifi without a service plan but you can still get on the Internet and download apps.

I bought the phone new in March 2011 and had service until I canceled with Sprint in May 2012. I still used the phone on WiFi until I got a tablet in June of this past yr. It still works great. I would still be using it if Sprint weren't so expensive and I didn't have a tablet.
