this is a vintage bone, hand carved necklace
it has an elephant on the pendant the beads are also hand carved bone
i got this at a yard sale a few yrs ago. the old man that had it was about 70 yrs old. i brought it back from over seas wile on the way home from war. ( well at least this is what i was told) im not sure if it is ox bone. i dont think it is ivory. it doent have much weight. ivory is heavy.
total beaded is 30 inches, the pendant is 2 inches X 1.25 inch.

a very unique piece!!

If it was real ivory,you wouldnt of got it into the states! its illeagle !sp! probably carved from ox bone as you said at first!

yes i believe it is ox bone. i have a few items that were brought over seas that was not sold in the usa..

I have one similar I had for about 6 years mine is thicker and heavy and it is ivory it is from africa I will see how yours goes before I put mine up and I have a large one too!They do look very pretty on. so bid people :)
