Branches are reddish during the winter months, bright yellow in spring, turning greenish during the summer months. The cuttings are very easy to root and will root indoors in a container of water in about 2 weeks. Once rooted, cuttings can be planted directly in the garden if weather is favorable, or planted in a container and transplanted outdoors after all danger of freezing weather is past.
