Depends on which NDS, if I am not mistaken Nintendo DSi is SD compatible. When all else fails....GOOGLE IT! You would need a computer with a built in card reader or a USB card reader. Simple as:
1. insert the card
2. a few clicks of the mouse
3. transferring files like a pro

If you have an expansion slot any where on your DS that has the letters SD with a picture of a card next to it, then I would assume yes. I wish I could be more help but I use my SD card for pictures only.
