I do not much about this item or if it should even be in the book catagory. It looks like you can use it for those special letters or keep your coupons in order or hold those household bills. It is in great shape. It is leather I tried to get a picture of the tag but it was to blurry to read but it says (This is a leathercraft briefcase covered with split rawhide).Does have zipper that works great. Good luck bidding. Made in England.

closed it is 63/4 wide and 123/4 length and open it is 131/2 wide and of course length is same. Hope I helped.
