The listing, Tatume - Heirloom Vining Squash (12+) has ended.
A must in Mexican cuisine, and also popular in certain parts of Texas. This old heirloom is picked small and used like zucchini, but these are so much better than standard supermarket zucchini!
Round to slightly elongated, flavorful fruit are green in color - pick 'em yourng, steam them, fry them, grill them. As a cool bonus, these squash can also be left on the vine until they turn golden - steamed, they are similar to acorn squash.
Vigorous vining plants! Save space in your garden by growing UP! The foliage is deeply lobed, dark green with white markings make for a very attractive plant. Last summer, ours covered a chain link fence, and created a beautiful screen.
AND these squash are resistant to vine borers as well as to disease.
