This item is used and has one or two very small nicks.
It works perfectly and uses an android/blackberry type cable for charging.
I love it but I'm a real klutz and needed a lifeproof case rather than extra battery.
This juicebox has never failed me except for the one and only time I failed to charge it.
It is a red Mophie Juicebox.
I bought it new.

As stated above it works perfectly fine. An to charge the case itself it uses a universal data cable that matches most androids and blackberry phones.
Only reason I stopped using it is i needed a rugged case.

What is the carrier

It isn't a phone so there isn't a carrier. It is a phone case that an extra battery for you iPhone 4/4s
You charge the case. Put your phone in it. When your phone battery dies, flip the little switch and it charges your phone.
No need for a carrier.
