no scratches but the watch is 7 yrs old so the batteries are very dead.

definitely a girly watch. It is a bigger style like a mans watch but I don't see many guys wearing black rhinestones.

If the batteries are dead, how do we know the watch works?

Well it was working when i put it in my jewelry box. I wore it maybe once but it has never been in water or knocked around. The protective plastic film is even still on the back to keep it from getting scratched i remvoed it to take a picture and put it back. I have faith that if the batteries were replaced it would tick away like a champ. Im not trying to pull a fast one, just trying to clear out my jewelry box.
