The listing, Brayton Laguna Style Traditional Gold 3 Pc. Mammy Canister Set has ended.

This auction is for a brand new canister set from StoryBook Ceramics. This three piece canister set captures the charm of this Mammy in a colorful kitchenware addition. Mammy is wearing a bright gold dress with a crisp white apron and a tastefully coordinating zig-zag patterned skirt. She has lovely gold accenting on her earrings and buttons.

The Brayton Laguna "Mammy" is one of the classic images of the 1940's. With her colorful turban and knowing look, she has graced many kitchens over the years as a favorite cookie jar. The largest of the Canisters measures 10.5" tall, the middle size one is 9.5" tall and the small one is 8.5" tall.

Each Mammy is completely hand painted. This gives each set an individuality and personality not found in most of today's "imported" mass-produced ceramic goods.

Box size and weight will be posted below in an update just as soon as I get them packed. This will allow you to look up on the UPS site for shipping costs to your location. This set will be shipping from zipcode 29164.

This isn't racist in the least, its a way for us, as African Americans to cherish the way our ancestors lived. I love Black Americana. I personally love Black Americana and try very hard to find it. For you it would be $17.83 UPS. I checked Priority Mail, and that's $26.44 online price (WOW). Parcel Post would be $15.32, but then you need to add insurance costs, which would bring it up to within just a few cents of UPS.

So, I would recommend UPS for this one.

Yes, $13.44 for the online price, which is the way I purchase my labels. I don't know where you live, but the online calculator for USPS doesn't even list Parcel Post as an option, and UPS wants almost $22.00 to send to your zipcode!!!

Not at all. These are brand new, made in our art studio. We made these for a customer that decided she wanted a much lighter color to match her kitchen, so we made her another set. These are now extra, and so we offered them here. We don't have the room to stock unsold items. Thanks for asking!

Wow, unfortunately you live in an expensive shipping zone. USPS says $20.43, and UPS says $22.29. It would be your choice, but we prefer to ship UPS as they have better insurance.
