Description

The listing, Converse Chevron Sneakers has ended.

This is a pair of black suede Converse Chevron sneakers that have been worn very little and were taken excellent care of. They are a size 11 women's and a size 9 men's as you can see in the picture and are unisex. They belonged to my daughter when she was in high school. I think that Converse sneakers were a fad for her and she no longer wears them. She is a neat-nik who has always taken the utmost care of her belongings. They have no water stains on them. There are some signs of wear along the bottom edge of the shoes where they meet the sole. I think that they are just showing normal wear that is not obvious when you are wearing them. I took a lot of pictures including lots of close-ups so that you can get a good look at them.I think that the photos may cause the wear that I mentioned to appear more pronounced than it really is but you be the judge. I will be happy to add more pictures upon request as long as it is not too close to the end of the auction. I did not make any effort to clean these for the photos. I took them out of the box as is and photographed them.

I am charging exact shipping less $2.00 which I will cover. I took the sneakers to the post office and priced what it would cost for shipping and they gave me the following quotes:
New York- ~$6.50
Florida- ~$8.50
California- just under $13.00.
I will accept payment via Paypal. I will ship only to Listia verified addresses and to the lower forty eight states.

Brian McGraw: I checked a couple of zip codes for Kentucky and came up with a shipping price of $7.36. For that price, I would charge you only $5.00. I would need your actual zip code in order to give you a definite price however.

Candycane26: apparently Hamden, CT has four different zip codes so I picked one. If I were to send it to an address in the 06511 area the cost of shipping would be $6.39. Although I would think that all of the Hamden zip codes would cost the same amount to ship to, I could only guarantee that price if I checked your actual zip code (if it's different from the one above).

KylaDougie: I checked two random zip codes for Tennessee. It would cost $7.36 to ship to the 37010 zip code in Adams, TN and $10.50 to ship to the 38271 zip code in Woodland Mills, TN. As you can see, the zip code being shipped to can make a big difference in shipping price. If you would like to post your zip code here or send it to me in an email, I will look up what the actual shipping cost would be for your area. Thanks!

As I told Kyla, if anyone wants to post their actual zip code here or send it to me in email, I will be glad to provide a more precise shipping cost.
Also remember that I will pay for the first two dollars of the shipping cost.
Thanks

Kyla, the actual shipping would be 7.36. I would send it to you for $5.00 and pay the difference myself.

That's awesome! I have a bunch of credits from past auctions so winning this could be a breeze. :) May I ask what is the lowest GIN offer you'd accept?

I did some checking online for rates at the USPS website and came up with some prices. Zip code apparently does affect the cost of shipping even within a state. I will post shipping cost in separate comment boxes to make it easier to sort out.

danalarsonblake- Shipping to the 76053 zipcode would be $10.72. I would ship to you for $8.00.

Kyla, I can't actually do GIN right now. As for shipping, would it be possible to have someone close to you pay for the shipping through their paypal account if you give them the money for it? That would be my preference and it would also protect you. If your shipping were lost in the mail, you would have to send it again. That being said, I'll leave it up to you since I see that you are probably still a minor

Shipping would be $5; however, if the bidding reaches 5,500 points it would only be $2. I will reduce shipping further if the bidding goes higher.

I think that the postage to CT would be similar to what it would be to ship to new York. That estimate is based on the fact that New York is right next to Connecticut. Bear in mind that I will pay the first two dollars.

I chose a random Kentucky zip code of 40150 and the shipping would be $7.36. Your cost would be $5. I can only guarantee that price if you give me your exact zip code either by posting here or by sending me an email. Thanks

I can't say for sure what the shipping to Kentucky would be but I live in Maryland and Kentucky is definitely closer to me than Florida. My best guess is that the shipping will be at least what it would cost for me to send the sneakers to New York or a dollar or so more. Maybe a little less than that.

I am not able to do GIN or I would consider it. I do need to charge some shipping in order to make it worthwhile for me to list these on Listia; otherwise, I could just buy the points outright.

I don't know exactly what the shipping would be but I live in Maryland so my best guess is that the cost of shipping the sneakers would be at least what it would cost me to send them to New York--maybe a little more. It should definitely be less than what it would cost to send them to Florida which is definitely further away than Kentucky. If it turns out to be less, I will charge only what it costs me less the two dollars I promised to pay for myself. Hope that helps.

I can't do GIN or I would consider it. I need to charge something for shipping or else it won't be worthwhile for me to post these on Listia. I could just simply buy the points outright for the same amount and save the effort. The only way I could consider free shipping is if the points bid were high enough to make it worthwhile that way. I'll give it some thought. Thanks
