The listing, #2 - Jiaogulan Seed *Immortality Plant* holistic, herb, vine, tea has ended.

Please make sure your address has been verified before bidding. If you need help, just ask!

High bidder will receive 10+ seeds. I have posted general info and growing info on my FB page, check it out! I will email growing information to auction winner.

The list of jiaogulan’s benefits is impressive and includes but is not limited to its ability to:
• Regulate cholesterol
• Maintain healthy blood pressure levels
• Improve digestion
• Enhance heart muscle (especially contractility)
• Protect and modulate the immune system
• Protect against free radical damage
• Regulate hormone levels in men and women
Jiaogulan may even help inhibit cancer growth. At its essence, this Chinese herb is an incredible balancing compound. If something (like your cholesterol, for instance) is higher than it should be, it lowers it. And if something is too low, it raises it.
The reason jiaogulan can work in such a range of ways in your body is because it’s a powerful adaptogen. All adaptogens — including garlic, ginkgo biloba, and ginseng — are substances that can, once ingested, be adapted by your body in whatever way necessary to restore balance.
Only 1 out of every 4,000 plants meets the criteria to be classified as adaptogens, also called biological response modifiers.
The criteria for adaptogens — as devised by Russian doctors N.V. Lazarev and I.I. Brekman in the mid-20th century — are:
• Jiaogulan should cause no harm and place no additional stress on the body
• Jiaogulan should help the body adapt to many and varied environmental and psychological stresses
• Jiaogulan must have a nonspecific action on the body, supporting all major systems

Why limit yourself? Go for 50! I will be putting more on. I had planned to wait a week or two, but can do it sooner. Fanned back.

Jiaogulan may actually be the most powerful adaptogen out there.
For example, in studies conducted by Dr. Tsunematsu Takemoto and others over the course of a decade, jiaogulan was found to have 82 saponins (the chemical source of adaptogenesis) compared to 28 found in standard ginseng.
Unlike conventional drugs, adaptogens have no side effects, do nothing to disturb the body, and work only when the body requires.
Jiaogulan’s adaptogenic properties are especially evident in the way it benefits your brain. Jiaogulan has a biphasic effect on brain functioning, meaning that it can energize or calm the system depending on what’s needed.
And while it may seem impossible, jiaogulan is both a weight-loss and a weight-gain aid. Again, it’s due to the herb’s adaptogenic nature. It interacts with your digestive system and corrects any areas of imbalance. If you’re overweight, it helps your body process food more efficiently. And if you’re underweight, it helps your body absorb the maximum amount of nutrients from everything you consume.

Hi there; It is impressive! I am still here! Doctors told me I would be dead by the time my daughter finished middle-school. She's 26 now. I used to get my Jiaogulan in tea form, from a friend in China, importation is very expensive.

I really do not know, but there are several patches, headed up the coast, between you and I. You might want to get a couple of big pots and grow indoors? My thought is to keep the growing conditions as close to the natural habitat as possible.

I have not grown this plant yet. I have been buying and importing the tea for several years, for my own use...it got so expensive and takes sooo long to get here, that I decided to grow my own & got extra to share. Likes moderate moisture, partial shade, very rich soil.

So interesting! I wonder if it could help my fathers diabetes. So you dry the leaves only for tea or can the leaves be eaten fresh like a salad? Are any other parts of the plant edible? Fantastic story, thank you for sharing! :)

It I have heard that it could help... The leaves can be eaten or used fresh for tea. Just remember, that tea of any sort, should never be boiled. I boil the water, turn off the heat, let it set a few, 3-4 minutes, then add the herb and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. Jiaogulan is naturally sweet, I never sweeten mine. It has a very pleasant flavor. I do not know if other portions of the plant are used as well, I have only used the leaves. Thanks for your interest!
