This is a very beautiful ring, & it is a size 8. It is marked 925, & is brand new! it has a large garnet in the middle with red fire opal on the sides. NO you can't size silver, only real gold. You can crochet cotton wool around the back of the band to make it smaller. That is one of the tricks I know. If say you were a 7, it would work for you, but if you were a 5 that would be too much difference. I use cotton wool as it doesn't irritate your skin. Thanks, Zen.
