The listing, Super, Soft, Mohair, Slouch Hat has ended.
This hat is super soft and super light. I'm not sure that it would keep your head all that warm but it is a beautiful design and stitch. It's very fashionable and as you can see can be worn with hair in or out. The two middle pictures make it look darker than it is. The true color is the three lighter ones. This will fit an average to large size.
The colors in this hat are mainly brown. It has some beige flecks and gold flecks. I would say that it is a fawn color brown with flecks of dark brown, beige and gold. Hope this helps.
thanks. i appreciate it. i may do that. im just starting to try the hats, so i actually have to watch a video to learn the first steps. but im gonna try. cause i probably wont be the highest bidder for this one. lol
Learn the magic circle first or else learn how to do a nice tight beginning where you put about 11 dc in one stitch. It starts at the top and works down to the band. You'll have lots of fun. Don't give up and don't settle for just maybe knowing how,,,, keep on till its good and stuck in your mind. Then it will be very easy to do and you'll be able to do it with your eyes closed!
im getting the hang of the magic circle. ive tried one hat ,and it came out ok. ... but i want to get it down 100 %. thanks for the encouraging words. i still may message you if im stuck on something. thank you so much .
A lot depends on the stitch. If it is a single crochet then it will be stiff and if you crochet tight, then even a half crochet can be stiff. Most people like to use a worsted weight for the winter hats... that would be a 4 on the back label. I use all different blends of yarns and as you can tell all different kind of stitches. Since guys like a closer stitch (in crochet) do a half (yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and pull through 3 loops) but on most do a double with a worsted weight and it will be plenty flexible. The thinner the yarn and the larger the stitch... the more flexible. But you have to watch your guage. Sorry if I have made it complicated for you. You sound like you are on the right road. Don't be afraid to ask and seek. You go girl!
