Description

The listing, Organic Pink Columbine Seed - Over 50 NEW seeds has ended.

The description below sounds complicated - but I find them very easy to plant. Just sprinkle seeds in ground in Fall/Spring or Summer - cover lightly - and that is it! OR you can do as described on original seed packet as listed above. I have these wonderful double pleated flowers all around my property and they are beautiful!

Exquisite double pleated flowers of sugar-pink and white, so beautiful that as they hang they resemble a ballerina's dress. Occasionally plants will produce flowers of a different colour, which can only be a bonus. Ideal for the cottage garden and border. Flowers late spring/early summer. Seed sown early will often flower the same season. Height: 60-75cm ( 24-30in).

Sowing Instructions
Sow from February to June 6mm (¼in) deep in a good seed compost. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 21-40 days at 18-24C (65-75F). To speed this up place in a fridge, after sealing in the polythene bag, and leave at 3-5C (35-41 F) 2-3 weeks, then place in warmth. Inspect regularly while in the fridge and remove immediately if they start to germinate.

Growing Instructions
Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 30cm (12in) apart into moist but well drained soil in sun or part shade.
