Brand is lg and yes, it should be compatible. Would just need the drivers from online.

would it work with windows xp and/or linux (sorry haven't decided on a specific o.s. yet). also, does it come with a software cd or setup cd? Thank you for your time. :)

xp Yes, Linux might need custom drivers. there is a setup cd.
