925 mean gold plated silver. F&W Unless the color is silver, but you said gold so must be plate. Thanks. F&W

925 means that it is 92.5% silver and that is Sterling Silver. If it is colored gold it is most likely plated. It is still a very nice necklace. It is also nice that you put a Quarter next to it to shoe the size of the pendant.
