kind of crazy for people to keep bidding except for the last few minutes. Just drives up the cost. Great for the seller! Bad for the bidder. Biddings gotten way out of my league now. Cant say I've ever seen a pair of shoes get this high, and thats all I ever look for on listia! Nice haul for paytonvalk tho!
GIN means to "get it now". And I realize already that you cant do it yet because you're too new. Its a perk u get for completing 5 auctions and having so much feedback. But basically, you can run an auction like normal, BUT you can also offer to end the auction immediately if someone is willing to just go for it and bid whatever number of credits that YOU predetermine. That way you get your credits much faster, in a large lump sum, and the buyer gets their item sooner, as well as having more control over the outcome and bypassing the long wait and competition when someone wants an item bad enough. People usually GIN an item at quite a bit more than they think they would get by just letting people bid, because when its something cool, like these shoes, the bidding starts getting really high especially in the last day/few hours. If I were to sell these shoes, I would probably GIN them at around 14,000. Because i think the bids would easily get up to around 8,000 or so. I had the credits when I asked but now I dont. But I still have 7 days so u havent heard the last of me :)
You can't offer a GIN on an auction until you've earned your Seller Wings badge & then the lowest GIN you can set on an auction is 2,000 credits (just for future reference).
