First of all, just because you were outbid doesn't mean you can't more on the same item, as long as you have the credits for it. The auctions are open to all who want the item until the time it closes.
Since you said you fanned me, you can click on my name (the link, in blue) and it will go to my profile page. On it is listed what I have up for auction at the moment, as well as some of my past auctions.
Another way to acquaint yourself to this site is to click on browse, all categories, free shipping (listed on left hand side, part way down page) and ending soonest (upper right hand drop down list). That will give you a good idea of what's selling right now, and the prices they can go for.
