You're right, 3-5k is pretty average for average and easy to find movies. For new releases it generally starts around 4500-7000, sometimes higher if the demand for the movie is high. I can see why you'd think this movie was high. However, it's a very popular movie, a very good movie, and a very hard to find code. (Do a search, this this the only one listed at the moment.) Plus, I've sold multiple codes for Disney movies for 9,999. The Disney codes tend to be valued higher than the other studios. Not sure why, but that's what it comes down to.
Long story short, I'm going to have to pass on your offer for 7777, but I would like to make a counter offer of 9999. An amount I have successfully sold movies of a similar class for. (I agree that 11,111 is a bit high. Honestly, I was test it out and it's been 4 days with no bids, so I would count this as a failure.)
You're right- I forgot technically Disney owns Marvel now. They are valued higher mainly because Disney gave almost no rights to VUDU for digital copies but pretty much one sided it to apple digital copies only. Which left a large population out of the loop.
Movies after a certain release period are called "digital copy plus" because they added in the option for VUDU/Ultraviolet redemption. While the previous ones are still limited to iTunes only (needing the disk to redeem for them). Disney, is well Disney to say the least and they know they'll get money regardless of the platform they offer it on lol but realized they'd make more money offering it to a wider range of customers.
So 9999 is fair because Captain America is a harder one of the Marvel defies to get a hold of :]
