and by the way: Glass Gem is a flint corn used for making flour or as a popping corn. Unlike sweet corn, it is not typically eaten right off the cob - but it IS edible, even though, perhaps, too beautiful to eat.

It's corn...will regular corn grow in region 6? I would follow whatever recommendations for regular corn.....as far as plant date and whatever.....but, as we all know, corn will cross pollinate....so you can't plant too close to other variaties....Thanks for asking, hope this answers your question......
