Description

The listing, Esinhower Silver dollar has ended.

This is a 1971 Esinhower silver dollar, the back has an Eagle in stead of the liberty bell. 1971 was the year the government started minting these after changing it to the bell.

The Eisenhower dollar is a one-dollar coin issued by the United States Mint from 1971 to 1978. Struck for circulation in copper-nickel clad, and for collectors in 40% silver, it was the first dollar coin issued by the Mint since the Peace dollar series ended in 1935. The piece depicts General of the Army and President Dwight D. "Ike" Eisenhower, who appears on the obverse.

It was minted in 1971, from research I have found that at that time they were 40% silver which is .31 oz pure silver. This is how they all were made between 1971-1978.
