Thank you! I have a 6 y/o son who we take to gun and knife shows in our area all the time and a lot of the sellers will offer him a free small folding knife but ONLY after they ask his Mommy and Daddy. Now we use to say no thank you but then we found a left handed seller (my son is a south paw) who taught him how to safely open and close it using his left hand. So we say yes now but we keep them he only gets to use them when we are fishing or camping. So I really believe it is up to the parent not me as to which children can handle it and which can not.
