Description

The listing, Sweet Little Leather Baby Shoes from the 1950's has ended.

Not sure of size, as you can see the lettering on the bottom is basically worn off...but, they measure 4.5 long by 2 across ball and 1.5 across heel and 1.75 from top of shoe in back to bottom of heel.
Sweet little leather baby shoes from the 1950's are in obviously worn, vintage condition. I know this because they were MINE! Awwww, I just have held on to these forever....and, why, I ask? Then I started to see folks selling them on other sites to use for antique dolls and antique photo shoots and such and thought...well, I don't need them and if they can be of some use to somebody else, why not? So, here I offer you a piece of my humble past, my old baby shoes...Just to make it nice, I will also include the pretty little handmade crocheted doilie they are pictured with, sort of go hand in hand, don't ya think?!
As usual, I respond quickly to comments/questions and always ship within hours of receiving your verified address, that's just the way I roll. In return please leave me good feedback when your item arrives in return for my work. Thanks so much!

These are really adorable, I actually have a vintage christening outfit they would match up well with. F,W&B

I wouldn't recommend these for current wear, more like for an antique doll or setting of some sort...they are really pretty old and worn and not exactly what I would call wearable....as I said in my description I've seen them go for other things like I mentioned. Sorry, I sure do wish they still made nice soft leather shoes like this but I don't think they do....:)

They would also be cute for a "news boy" kind of antiquish photo shot. Since they seem to be kind of gender neutral :)

You probably wore them when you were about 2 years old. I remember my younger brother having some similar to that. His too, were high-topped like that and white. However, where yours are soft-soled, his had hard bottoms on them. (And, he learned that he could kick like a mule!!! I'd cry because it really hurt BAD; and mom would tear up his little behind for kicking me like that!) My how time flies! LOL =D Hope that you enjoy your auction. =D

lol, good story. I know I was a small child but if I wore these at two....then again, when I married at 27 I wore a size 4.5! Guess I just have teeny feet! Add a "few" pounds and about 20 years and I now wear a size 6! I remember the hard soled shoes, too! They were killer! Thanks for stopping by and sharing, nice to meet you! :)

Wish I could part with old things, easily. Most often I have to get mad of the clutter, then every thing goes into the burn pile. I even forget to recycle, repurpose or donate. :-( Of course that was before listia , now I`m trying to learn to do this. Good luck on your auction.

Well, I don't list stuff that i would burn or throw away, I try to list things that I think are special, or needed or collectible. Wonderful items that my Listian friends might like. Thank you and good luck should you decide to list some wonderful items!

Sorry I did not intend to harm, with my comment. I didn`t mean your auction item was fit for a burn pile, at all. Please forgive me for commenting.

lol I love your comment after your descriptions "that's just the way I roll" it seems to fit this auction perfectly! Seems that's how you have always "rolled" lol They look like you played hard in these. The memories alone are so precious! ♥ Thanks for sharing this with us! Great auction! I'm already a fan so I'm watching :)

I think more like 3 to 6 months. My mama wore them, I wore them, my brothers wore them. They are wonderful.

No way, not me, anyway, not with these teeny feet, I had to be walking, at least, by the look of the soles. I wish they still made them like this!

@IsabellaNevaehsMommy: Sorry, more like 4.5 x 2....I just opened up the package and measured them.

By the way, these are too small for my granddaughter who is 11 months old so If I wore these at 2 years of age.....I don't know about that....maybe more like 1 year old, even with tiny feet....
