Questions & Comments
I saw these as keychains and thot they were adorable but, like you, I'm not paying $6 for string. Fanned you...would love to win one here!
Your handmade little string guy is Adorable. I bought some similar keychain string-people (that were handmade, imported and fair trade.) They cost $12 each. They were all different from eachother, hundreds of different characters with wacky outfits and accessories.... Although they were imported, they each were made by human hands, just like this guy. ;)
When it is hand made it is one of a kind!! Great Auction!! Great item! Fanned you! Your not paying $6 for string, you are paying for the time and talent of someone who made it. Spend several hours making something by hand and you will see it is not the cost to make the item.
well, i dont think the ones people have seen around are hand made. like the ones i saw at a comic shop that were $6. as a matter of fact i was at that comic shop yesterday and i looked at the last one they had left and it was bigger than these i made. not by much but heavier and larger. i'm guessing thats the difference between the ones u buy somewhere and these i made.
i saw those, my nephew had one and kept wanting to get more so i got one and took it apart to see how to make them then hit the craft store and starting making them for all the kids. next thing i know everyone wants one. these are all hand made by me, not from a bubblegum machine.
VERY CUTE. I seen alot of people at flea market making these. I dont understand why people are being so rude, Bubblegum machine or not these handmade eitheir way. I fanned you and will bid on this.
i don't know why either. i thought i made a couple things people might like and not have to pay for somewhere and make a couple points off of it. not like these would go for thousands or anything haha
no i don't know where the kids got the ones they had. i have only seen similar little voodoo dolls like these as keychains in comic book shops for about $6 which is another reason i decided to make them. i refused to pay $6 for some string.
i DID make these. i only used the ones the kids had to see how to make them. it wasn't hard, just wrapping string. i always do art projects with the kids and this was last weeks. they only had 2 of them, the rest they picked the colors and told me how they wanted to do them
@ becbec88 its not about them being from a bubble gum machine...these are very cute...it's just a shame that the buyer thinks they are getting something one of a kind since it says homemade, when it's not.
