This taggie teaches coordination putting fingers thru hoops, tactile senses with the different textures and how to hold onto the item which is ultra soft. Travels very well in diaper bag, car seat, crib, play pen, stroller and swings. I have office Grandtwins, boy and girl, and I observed them putting fingers thru the loops at 3 months. They also were able to hold onto the taggie with a tight grip almost right away, when no was holding them they could get security by holding on.
