The listing, Jungle/Tiger/African Inspired Hand-Painted Beads (possibly vintage) has ended.
You are bidding on a very unique collection of jungle (possibly African) themed beads, which appear to be hand painted and probably vintage.
You must forgive me, as I don't know a whole lot about their origin, but I can tell you how I acquired them and came to these conclusions. As a young child in the 90's, I stumbled upon these while sifting through an old woman's jewelry box at her yard sale. I paid pocket change for them, and she told me everything in the jewelry box had been sitting there for many years, unworn. How many years? Only God knows. But as a creative soul in my early years, I was attracted to two of the larger beads, both featuring hand-painted tiger faces.
They have been restrung recently with synthetic string to keep them together, paying no mind to size of the string; both strands are too small for necklaces, but too large for bracelets. You'll have to do the work of re-stringing them to be wearable, but I think they would make a nice set if you mix and match the beads a bit.
I count and recounted a couple of times: 49 beads in total. Some are of wood, or a woody substance, and others appear to be either ceramic, or marble, or some sort of hard, shiny material...again...don't know much about them! lol
