Armed with a lightsaber, the Jedi are capable of performing a smattering of combination attacks as they cleave their way through the enemy-laden levels. Ranged attacks come in the form of special Force powers and being able to deflect enemy laser blasts back at the enemy. The Jedi are also able to perform jumps and double-jumps, necessary for the platform-based jumping sequences peppered throughout the levels. Boss battles occur at the end of the levels, and encompass confrontations with droid attack ships, alien creatures, and the Dark Sith apprentice, Darth Maul. A lone side-scrolling level breaks up the standard beat-em-up action and sees players aboard a STAP (Single Trooper Aerial Platform) vehicle. By completing the game, a fourth character can be unlocked for play.
