This auction consists of one original 1809 CLASSIC HEAD U.S. HALF CENT. A rare piece of US Coin history, seldom seen on Listia.

It is an even chocolate brown in color and has a slight "rotated reverse die" error. The last pic will show a very slight bend, mentioned only for accuracy, which might be easy to miss in my other photos.

The ;last digit looks a little like an "8" at first glance, but it is a "9". 1809 was the first year for the Classic Head half cents, which face left....(1808 Draped Busts face right).

This rare old copper half cent is 205 years old...circulating before most of our famous Presidents were even born!!
