Paperback. Minor wear on front and back but the inside pages are like new. About a 1/2 inch tear on the bottom of the back cover. (Unfortunately it was slightly damaged during shipment to me.) The illustrations are so beautiful I considered removing and framing them to keep some for myself and sell the rest but I couldn't bear to hack up the book.
