So do you have to have some device that has Bluetooth running like a smartphone or my phone's bluetooth Headset? If not what do you have to have to make this work?
Basically, you need a device that has bluetooth, such as most smartphones or a PC, and it will create a connection to this keyboard. If you will be using this with a computer that does not already have bluetooth (nowadays, a PC with bluetooth is pretty uncommon), then you can buy a bluetooth adapter to allow your PC to work with this keyboard. If your device does not have bluetooth, then I would not recommend bidding.
For those of you interested, you can add bluetooth to your PC with something like this - http://www.listia.com/auction/14864039-mini-usb-bluetooth-dongle (note: not my auction, just found by searching bluetooth usb)
I do have a bluetooth Dongle, so by using my smart phone with has a bluetooth hands free ear piece It could then connect to this keyboard and possibly connect a computer wirelessly. Am I understanding you correctly?
Yes, if your phone has bluetooth, the keyboard will most likely work with it. I cannot guarantee it will work, as this was made for a specific HP Touchpad device. However, many users online are saying they are having no issues getting it to work with other devices.
Using your bluetooth dongle, you should be able to also connect this keyboard to your computer, but not both the phone and PC at the same time. Your hands-free ear piece will have nothing to do with the keyboard, as the phone/PC will be making the connection.
