Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr. (born July 1, 1899), also known as Indy, is a fictional professor, archaeologist, and adventurer - the main protagonist of the 1981 adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark (later retitled Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark), its prequel Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and sequels Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Jones is notable for his trademark bullwhip, fedora, leather jacket, and fear of snakes. He is also the son of Professor Henry Jones, Sr. In his younger days, Henry, Jr. was in the Boy Scouts, and that is where he found a love of Archaeology, trying to recover the Cross of Coronado from people whom he suspected to be grave robbers. It was later found that those gentlemen had the land and its caves fair and square. During the ensuing chase, Indy Develops his fear of Snakes and quickly masters a Bull-whip as he goes face to face with a Lion on a circus train. Later, Dr. Henry Jones Jr. would recover the Cross of Coronado from the same man and donate it to a museum as an important historic artifact (in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood Williams has a son named Henry Jones III (a.k.a. Mutt Williams).
