Recurve (Olympic) bow by PSE, Optima series. Newly purchased some 16-years ago and used for occasional practices and competitions over the years. Selling due to lack of usage lately.

- Right-handed, red aluminum riser
- 66-inch limbs, for archers up to 5'10"
- 30-pound peak draw weight

Pre-installed:

- Adjustable clicker
- Upgraded arrow rest

Included:

- Stabilizer (Cartel Doosung "Carbon Stabilizer System")
- Forearm guard
- Finger tab

The following are NOT included (lost or damaged):

- Two hex bolts to affix the limbs to the riser
- String
- Sight (broken eye, but included upon request)
- Quiver and arrows

It's expected that you will visit your local archery shop to finalize your kit and perhaps sign up for lessons there.

What is the stabilizer?

It is an optional accessory that is screwed to the front of the bow, and its purpose is to minimize the vibrations resulting from the force of the release.

Is a 30-pound draw weight suitable for me?

There is definitely a marked gap in the strength required for the loaner bows and for this bow. For archers at levels suited for this bow, 30 pounds is adequate. Because of the unique set of muscles responsible for the draw, even someone who had drawn this weight before may not be able to do so immediately following a hiatus.

Am I too tall/short for this bow?

If you are shorter, you will not be drawing as far back as someone who is taller and has a larger wingspan. If you are taller than 5'10", your ideal draw would bend the limbs further than its recommended limit.

What can be replaced?

If either the length or weight of the bow is unsuited to you, you can replace the limbs. Generally it's the riser which is most expensive to replace. You can freely upgrade the bow with replacements or additions to the riser.
